Middletown Firefighters Honored For Service
Three volunteer firefighters, who have more than 50 years of service each, were recently honored by the Middletown Township Committee.

Three volunteer Middletown firefighters, who have more than 50 years of service each, were recently honored by the Middletown Township Committee.
Middletown Township Fire Company No. 1 members Stanley J. Midose, Thorton Ryder, and Richard Cadman were honored for the thousands of hours they have donated, according to a township news release.

- “Stanley J. Midose has been a member of the company since 1956. He served as Captain in 1963-1964, 1970-1971, 1991-1992. Midose has served as a Company Trustee for 15 years. He’s also a founding member of the Fire Department’s Air Unit, the Middletown Fire Academy and Fairview First Aid Underwater Search and Rescue Team.
- “Thorton Ryder has been a member of the company for 53 years. He served as Lieutenant in 1996, 1969 & 1970. Ryder also been financial secretary for more than 25 years and has served as a company trustee.
- “Richard Cadman has been a member for 52 years. He’s been serving as either the company’s Chief Engineer or Assistant Engineer for more 20 years.”
