Middletown Getting Drive-Thru Starbucks At Old Boston Market Spot

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A Starbucks will be opening "very soon" at the former location of the Boston Market in Midddletown, Middletown Mayor Tony Perry confirmed.

Starbucks is moving into the old Boston Market spot on Rt. 35 in the Middletown Marketplace shopping center. This will be a drive-through Starbucks as the Boston Market was a drive-through as well, and already has those capabilities in place.

This is one of the main commerce and shopping hubs of Middletown, where Livoti's Old World Market and Bambi Baby, a high-end children's furniture store, is located.

The Middletown Boston Market closed in April 2020, as Boston Market shuttered dozens of locations nationwide when the pandemic first took hold.

Perry said no exact opening date has been given, but expects the Starbucks to open "very soon."

"I'm excited," said Perry. "It's good to see a vacant space that will be used."
