Middletown High School North Senior Receives Prestigious Award

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Last week, a student at Middletown High School North was honored by receiving with the Dwight D. Eisenhower Leadership Award.

The award was given to Nicholas Palmadesso, in his senior year at Middletown North.

Palmadesso was nominated by his guidance counselors at Middletown North who chose him because of his exceptional academic performance, athletics, community service, good citizenship, and leadership.

Sponsored by the U.S. Military Academy Field Force and The West Point Society of New Jersey, the award recognizes select outstanding high school juniors from across the state "who have demonstrated exceptional performance in academics, athletics, community service, leadership and moral character."

The award also is given to New Jersey students who promote the values of national service as exemplified by Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States.

The West Point Society of New Jersey, based in Red Bank, is formed to honor the heritage and purpose of West Point, the U.S. Military Academy located on the Hudson River in West Point, New York.
