Middletown Hit By Anti-Police And White Lives Matter Graffiti

Graffiti bearing the messages "White Lives Matter," "F- the police" and "All Cops Are Bad" popped up on Pelican Road this past weekend.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Middletown was apparently hit by dueling anti-police and White Lives Matter graffiti over the weekend, both at the same intersection of Borden and Pelican roads in Oak Hill.

An Oak Hill resident said he noticed the first three graffiti tags at about 12:30 p.m. Monday.

The first shows the anarchy symbol and FTP, which stands for "F*** the police;" the second tag read "We See U, Pigs" with a picture of an eye and the third read ACAB, which stands for All Cops Are Bad, or All Cops Are Bastards.

"Sad to see this sort of thing," said the resident who snapped the photos, David Sgalambro, a local realtor and Oak Hill resident.

Also on Pelican Road, other residents said they saw "WLM 2," which stands for White Lives Matter, written in white spray paint.

"It was just as horrific," said Middletown resident Melissa Bailin.

The town of Middletown is aware of both sets of graffiti and police painted them over Monday, said Middletown administrator Tony Mercantante.

"It was yes, probably dueling and we hope to prevent both sides from ratcheting it up again, and find whoever did this," he said.

Middletown Police are investigating.
