Middletown Man Dies Of Possible Heart Attack At Penn Station
Tragedy: The local man was headed home back to Middletown when he suffered what appears to be a heart attack on a North Jersey Coast train.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A local Middletown man died of a suspected heart attack after he boarded a train at New York Penn Station Monday night, Nov. 4.
The man has been identified as Alfred Wood, 63, News 12 reports.
The man boarded a North Jersey Coast Line train headed southbound towards home at 5:05 p.m. Monday, NJ Transit officials told the media. However, police and EMS were called after the conductor made an announcement on board that a doctor was needed in the train's third car.

According to reports, a doctor on board responded and he or she briefly revived Wood. However, he died later, while still on the train.
An obituary for Wood was posted here, by Evergreen Memorial Home on Rt. 35 in Middletown. Services for the local man will be Thursday, November 7 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and then Friday, Nov. 8 from 2-4 p.m. Here is service information to pay your respects.
