Middletown Man Sentenced To Prison For Child Porn

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A Middletown man who was arrested last year as part of a massive Monmouth County child porn sweep conducted by the county prosecutor was sentenced Friday to three years in state prison.

Dale Williams, 46, of Leonard Avenue in Middletown, was ordered to register under Megan’s Law upon his release from prison. He works as a construction worker, and is pictured above. He was convicted of distributing items depicting the sexual exploitation of children.

Williams was arrested on July 21, 2017 as part of “Operation School’s Out,” a summer-long operation led by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni into people who shared or viewed child porn online. The net resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals last summer.

Williams had previously pleaded guilty on April 11. At the time of his plea, he admitted he used peer-to-peer file-sharing software to download child sexual abuse images and videos.

Men were arrested in Asbury Park, Belmar, Eatontown, Freehold Township, Hazlet Township, Holmdel Township, Howell Township, Keansburg, Keyport, Long Branch, Manalapan Township, Marlboro Township, Middletown Township, Neptune Township, Ocean Township, Red Bank, Sea Bright, Tinton Falls and Wall Township.

The operation was carried out by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and Monmouth County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force between July 20 and August 31, 2017.
