Middletown Moe's Southwest Grill To Open May 9

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — That only took about a year! The Moe's Southwest Grill on Rt. 35 in Middletown will open this Thursday, May 9. We first reported the Moe's was coming last March. The Middletown Moe's will be giving away free burritos for a year to the first 100 customers in line this Thursday; it opens at 7 a.m.

The Moe's replaces the longstanding eyeglasses store that stood at the intersection of Harmony Road and Rt. 35. That's one of the most highly trafficked, well-used intersections in the area.

The eyeglasses store was torn down and Moe's is bigger, taking up 2,603 square feet on the lot, plus a small parking lot.

To celebrate its grand opening, the Middletown Moe's will give away free burritos for a year to the first 100 fans in line on May 9, the Asbury Park Press reported.

The other two closest Moe's are on Rt. 9 in Marlboro and one on Rt. 37 in Toms River. Moe's offers Tex-Mex fare, plus they have tofu options.
