Middletown North Boys Track & Field Wins Central Jersey Championship

Middletown North won the championship; Matawan-Aberdeen Regional came in second. Impressive performances from the following North teens:

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The Middletown High School North boys' track & field program won the Central Jersey Group III Sectional Championship earlier this June.

Middletown North won with a total team score of 128 points; Matawan-Aberdeen Regional High School came in second place with a total of 89 points.

  • Senior distance standout Connor Kinch, who finished first place in the 3,200-meter dash, with a time of 9:35.46, and led the 4x800 relay team to a gold medal with the group's fast lap of 1:59. Kinch also placed second in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:58.81. Kinch also placed fifth in the 1,600-meter dash with a time of 4:31.10.
  • Aaron Guensch, who ran a winning time of 1:58.64.
  • Jack Chenoweth earned a 400-hurdles gold medal with a time of 57.50
  • Levi Wilson won the long jump event at a distance of 22-03
  • Matthew Sheehan threw a 153-00 to win first place at javelin.
  • In the girls competition, Hailey Guerrieri won the 100 hurdles event with a time of 15.86.
