Middletown Pedestrian Airlifted After Being Hit By Van: Police

MIDDLETOWN, NJ-- A pedestrian was hit in Middletown by a van while crossing the street, police say.

The crash occurred at Highway 36 and Seventh Street at 9:10 PM Thursday night in the eastbound lane. The victim was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by the State Police.

Eyewitnesses and the Asbury Park Press reported seeing a walker laying in the street following the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
