Middletown Police Arrest Man With Brass Knuckles, Heroin: Police

The man was swallowing wax heroin folds while on the run from police.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ— Middletown police arrested a man on multiple weapons and drugs charges-- including trying to swallow heroin while on the run from police.

William C. Barbosa, 25, was swallowing the wax folds of heroin while eluding police officers, Detective Lieutenant Paul Bailey told Patch. When police apprehended him, they also found brass knuckles, a prohibited weapon.

Barbosa was charged with eluding, tampering with evidence, possession of heroin, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and CDS in a motor vehicle.

He is currently being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institute in lieu of $50,000 bail with a ten percent option.
