Middletown Police Blotter

Middletown police recently charged a township man with attempted sexual assault and enticing a child into a vehicle or structure, police said.

That case was among more than a dozen recently handled by Middletown officers.

According to a news release from Deputy Chief Stephen Dollinger:

Aug. 12

Paul Ortiz, 52, from Ocean Avenue in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Adam Colfer on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Shoplifting, Criminal Mischief, Possession of Burglary Tools and Possession of Crack Cocaine. He was held on $11,000 bail.

Aug. 13

Michael Kiernan, 61, from Monmouth Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested by Patrolman Adam Colfer on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Heroin. He was released pending a court date.

Edward Gross, 26, from Nautilus Drive in Leonardo, was arrested by Detective Albert Scott on charges of Shoplifting and Conspiracy. He was released after posting $2,500 bail.

Aug. 15

Jeffrey Rodre, 18, from Chapman Terrace in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Frank Mazza on a charge of Simple Assault. He was released pending a court date.

Aug. 17

David O’Connor, 44, from Abbey Road in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Frank Mazza on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. He was released pending a court date.

Christian Bykovets, 20, from Princeton Street in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on a charge of Possession of Alcohol by Minors. He was released pending a court date.

Travis Cifrodella, 27, from Dogwood Place in Holmdel, was arrested by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. He was released pending a court date.

Ralph Johnston, 29, from East Highland Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on a charge of Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana. He was released pending a court date.

Ryan Hoffer, 26, from Rutledge Drive in Red Bank, was arrested by Detective Daniel Sullivan on charges of Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute and Conspiracy. He was held on $40,000 bail.

Alicia Malone, 25, from Deepdale Drive in Middletown, was arrested by Detective Keith Hirschbein on charges of Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Ambien. She was released after posting $20,000 bail.

Aug. 18

Edward McCall, 19, from Highway 35 in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Adam Colfer on charges of Attempted Sexual Assault, Enticing a Child into a Motor Vehicle or Structure and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was held on $350,000.00 bail.

Ronald Shopp, 28, from Elm Avenue in Belford, was arrested on by Detective Daniel Sullivan on a charge of Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin. He was held on $10,000 bail.

Aug. 19

Christopher Kuhlmeier, 44, from Willow Street in Port Monmouth, was arrested by Corporal Thomas Meckier on charges of Simple Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was held on $20,000 bail.

Christopher Sclavunos, 35, from Frazee Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested by Detective William Strohkirch on charges of Burglary and Theft. He was held on $10,000.

Robert Ellis, 26, from Navesink Avenue in Highlands, was arrested by Police Officer Erica Weeks on a charge of Harassment. He was released after posting $500 bail.

Aug. 20

Patrolman John Walsifer took a 15-year-old Middletown boy into custody on charges of Burglary and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

Patrolman John Walsifer took a 12-year-old boy from Atlantic Highlands into custody on charges of Burglary and Criminal Mischief. He was released pending a court date.

Thomas Schnoor, 19, from Glenmary Avenue in Leonardo, was arrested by Detective Keith Hirschbein on charges of Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

Detective Daniel Sullivan took a 17-year-old boy from Belford into custody on charges of Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

Aug. 21

Brendan Keene, 22, from Bray Avenue in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Frank Mazza on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. He was released pending a court date.

Aug. 22 Robert T. Sydnor, 22, from High Ridge Road in Stony Point, New York, was arrested by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on charges of Resisting Arrest, Obstructing the Administration of Law and Disorderly Conduct. He was released after posting $1,000 bail.

Robert W. Sydnor, 49, from High Ridge Road in Stony Point, New York, was arrested by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on charges of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Obstructing the Administration of Law, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct. He was released after posting $1,000 bail.

Jenna Hwang Cooper, 26, from Gordon Court in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Adam Colfer on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. She was released pending a court date.

Alexander Giuriceo, 20, from Greenfield Way in Belford, was arrested by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on a charge of Theft. He was held on $5,000 bail.

Carolyn Van Schaak, 59, from Shadybrook Avenue in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Brian McGrogan on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. She was released pending a court date.

Daniel Franey, 25, from Clarendon Place in Bloomfield, was arrested by Patrolman Adam Colfer on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Simple Assault. He was released after posting $2,500 bail.

Evan Savulich, 19, from Harmony Road in Middletown, was arrested by Patrolman Richard Belmonte on a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

Edwin Calva Gaona, 26, from Huntington Avenue in Neptune, was arrested by Patrolman John Mele on a charge of Obstructing the Administration of Law. He was released pending a court date.

Crystal Cadalzo, 32, from 9th Street in Belford, was arrested by Patrolman Richard Fulham on a charge of Possession of Hypodermic Syringes. She was released pending a court date.
