Middletown Police Continue Crash Investigation

Middletown police are continuing their investigation into a motorcycle crash on Portland Road that left two people injured.

Two motorcycles collided head-on, said Deputy Chief Stephen Dollinger.

Both motorcycle drivers were airlifted to hospitals after the crash Sunday evening.

One was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune and the other was flown to University Hospital in Newark, said Dollinger. Both drivers were listed in critical condition following the crash, police said.

Sgt. Cliff O’Hara and Patrolman Andrew Micalizzi of the traffic bureau are handling the investigation.
