A Middletown police sergeant was among the police officers who finished a roughly 300-mile bicycle ride from New York to Boston in memory of those who died on Sept. 11.
Middletown Sgt. Jerry Weimer completed the Tour De Force 9/11 Memorial Bike ride. He arrived in Boston Sunday, according to the department’s Facebook page.
Middletown Township lost 37 residents in the Sept. 11 attacks.

The four-day bike ride honors the victims of those attacks and raises money for the families of police officers who have died in the line of duty, according to the Boston Globe.
