Missing Middletown Woman, 62, Has Still Not Been Found
Mary Silengo, 62, is believed to have walked away from her Shadow Lake Village home Wednesday morning. She still has not been found.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — As of Thursday morning, Middletown police and firefighters are still searching for a missing local woman. State Police are combing the area, including using a helicopter, but she still has not been found.
The woman is Mary Silengo, 62, and she is believed to have walked away from her home in Shadow Lake Village, a 55+ community in Middletown.
She was first reported missing at 5:43 a.m. Wednesday.

Middletown police, firefighters and New Jersey State Police searched Shadow Lake, the adjacent wooded areas and bordering waterways and the Navesink River into Wednesday night. Practice was even disrupted on the soccer fields at Middletown South Wednesday afternoon so State Police could land their helicopter.
Members of the Shadow Lake homeowners association and residents are also helping with the search.

“This investigation remains active, and search efforts are ongoing. Anyone with information about Ms. Silengo's whereabouts is asked to contact police," said Middletown police Chief Webber.

Silengo is a white woman with blond and gray hair. She was last seen wearing a bright pink pajama shirt and gray sweat pants. She may have been wearing a denim jacket and dark colored shoes.
