Middletown Schools Closed For Next 2 Weeks

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Middletown public schools will begin virtual home instruction beginning on Monday, March 16, which will last for the next two weeks, superintendent Dr. William George announced Friday afternoon.

Virtual home instruction will continue for at least two weeks. All extra-curricular activities and sporting events are cancelled during this time.

Students will use Google Classroom to continue classes. Spring break will continue as normally scheduled April 6 - April 10.

These learn-from-home days will count towards Middletown's mandated 180 school days a year, so Middletown will not have the school year extended in June.

There are confirmed coronavirus cases in two Hazlet residents, a Red Bank Regional student and a Little Silver man.
