Middletown South Girls Soccer Honored For Winning Title
Middletown South varsity girls soccer will be honored two times this month for winning the States Sectional for the first time in 17 years.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The Middletown South varsity girls soccer team will be honored two times this month for winning the States Sectional title for the first time in 17 years.
The varsity girls team will be honored next Wednesday, Dec. 13 at the Board of Education meeting in the High School North auditorium at 6:30 p.m. They also will be honored Monday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. at the Middletown Township Committee meeting at Town Hall.
The South girls varsity team saw their best season in 17 years this fall. They will be losing a group of talented seniors who will graduate in the spring, among them Grace Massell and goalie Gabrielle Cook, but head coach Megan Barry said she's confident this year's juniors and sophomore's are up to the task.

"We have been so blessed with a group of girls, who not only worked so hard to get where they are, but they are so humble and appreciative of where they are at this point and the success that they have earned," South girls soccer coach Megan Barry told NJ.com and NorthJersey.com. “We want to prove to the state of New Jersey that we’re a force to be reckoned with, because I know that we are and all the girls know that they are, and that’s basically what has happened.”
