Middletown Teen Wins Scholarship For Good Works

A Middletown teen was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from a local Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians organization.

A Middletown teen was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from a local Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians (LAOH) organization.

The LAOH St Bridget’s Division 4 from Monmouth County awarded the Catherine Dean Community Service Scholarship at their meeting last month to Allison Anna LaRochelle.

Allison lives in the Belford section of Middletown and attends Red Bank Regional High School, Visual & Performing Arts Academy in Little Silver.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, with a 96.35 average.

She also donates the services of her band Crimson Sky to fundraising activities. She also volunteers monthly with 180 Turning Lives Around, a nonprofit organization that supports battered women.
