Middletown Township Announces Free Summer Tutoring Program

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Learning loss over the summer is always a big concern for parents.

This summer — for the first time ever — Middletown Twp. will provide free tutoring for children in the months of July and August.

The tutoring will be offered from July 10 - Aug. 17 on Mondays through Thursdays. The tutoring will be for students entering 3rd through 8th grade for the 2023-2024 school year. There will be Language Arts and math lessons based on New Jersey Student Learning Standards.

Middletown first needs to know how many families are interested, and parents are asked to fill out this survey: www.middletownnj.org/summertutoring Responses must be received no later than Tuesday, May 2.

Tutoring location will be determined by the number of survey responses. Students will be grouped by grade level.

Middletown will pay for the tutoring using Community Development Block Grant CARES Act funding the Township received.
