Five Squads — One Mission

The Middletown Township Department of EMS is made up of five volunteer first aid organizations that work together as one coordinated system:

  • Middletown First Aid & Rescue
  • Port Monmouth First Aid
  • Leonardo First Aid & Rescue
  • Fairview First Aid & Rescue
  • Lincroft First Aid & Rescue

Together, these squads provide 24-hour, 365-day emergency medical coverage to residents and visitors across the township.

Volunteers respond to medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, rescues, community events, and large-scale incidents — often while balancing full-time jobs, families, and school.

Commitment to Training and Readiness

Beyond emergency calls, the department continually invests in ongoing training — including CPR, support coordination, accident response, disaster preparedness, and rescue operations.

This ongoing preparation ensures EMTs and first responders are ready for any situation, from routine calls to major incidents.

A Community Built on Volunteerism

Middletown Township has a long tradition of volunteer emergency services. The Department of EMS serves as a reminder that neighbors helping neighbors still plays a vital role in public safety.

Chief Goldstein and his leadership team emphasized that continued success depends on strong community support and on recruiting future volunteers.

“We are incredibly proud of our volunteers and the sacrifices they make,” leadership stated. “We look forward to continuing our mission of protecting the residents of Middletown.”
