MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The Middletown Township government servers were recently the victim of a criminal cyber attack, according to Middletown administrator Anthony Mercantante.

The attack interrupted access to servers, including email, for approximately three weeks, he said.

The problem has now been mostly resolved, but some interruptions continue as the Township is carefully restoring its systems to ensure all data is safe and secure, said Mercantante.
