Middletown Township Public Library awarded Teen Read Week Activity Grant
Middletown Township Public Library receives award
The Young Adult Library Services Association, a division of the American Library Association, has announced the 10 recipients of its 2016 Teen Read Week Activity Grant. The Middletown Township Public Library is proud to be one of the recipients of this grant which will help fund literacy-focused Teen Read Week activities. The activities help support innovative reading or literacies programs aimed at the 22% of the nation’s youth who speak a language other than English at home.
This year, Teen Read Week will be October 9-15 with a multilingual theme of “Read for the Fun of It”.
The Activity Grant is generously funded by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
