Middletown's Second Wawa Will Open Dec. 8
The new Wawa gas station they've been building at the site of the old Middletown Friendly's will open next Friday, Dec. 8.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The new Wawa they've been building at the site of the old Middletown Friendly's will open next Friday, Dec. 8, confirmed Mayor Tony Perry.
They will have a grand opening ceremony at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 8, with likely special giveaways on that morning.
This is the new Wawa, with a gas station, at 1230 Rt. 35 south at New Monmouth Road. It was built at the location of the now-closed Middletown Friendly's.

This is actually Middletown's second Wawa. There has been a Wawa on Rt. 36 in the Leonardo section for several years now.
