​A 38-year-old New Jersey man died this week after he was hurt in a head-on collision on a N.J. highway, police said.

A 38-year-old New Jersey man died this week after he was hurt in a head-on collision on a N.J. highway, police said.

Henry "Hank" Daniecki of Upper Freehold Township was driving east on Route 526 when his Dodge sport-utility vehicle was struck head-on by a westbound vehicle, police said.

Daniecki was flown after the 5 p.m. Thursday crash to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital's trauma center, where he died later that evening.

Daniecki was engineering director at SVE Inc. in Toms River, and previously served as a partner at RGD Technologies LLC in Cream Ridge.

Steven Minden, 23, of New Egypt, the other driver, lost control of his Ford pickup truck and crossed into the Daniecki's lane near Red Valley Road, police said.
