Monmouth Man, A Woodshop Teacher, Accused Of Molesting 2 Teens

PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A Tinton Falls man who worked as the carpentry teacher in a Perth Amboy high school is accused of inappropriately touching two juvenile students, on separate occasions.

The allegations against Edward White, 56, of Tinton Falls, were announced Thursday by Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Perth Amboy Police Chief Larry Cattano.

Prosecutors say the incidents occurred while White was employed as a carpentry teacher at the Perth Amboy Magnet School, which serves ninth through twelfth grades.

White surrendered to Perth Amboy Police headquarters Wednesday: He is charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and two counts of second-degree child endangerment.

He is currently in the Middlesex County jail. This investigation was done by Detective Olivia Ankudowicz of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Reymond Nolasco of the Perth Amboy Police Department.
