Wet Side Car Wash Coming To Pt. Monmouth

The applicant proposed to construct a new 3,288 square foot, two story building to house a self-service car wash with an office on the second floor. The 3-acre property, located on Rt. 36 in Pt. Monmouth, has almost two-thirds of it located in undevelopable wetlands caused the applicant to request a conditional use permit to construct the business. It was stated that whatever business wanted to locate on this property would need a conditional use permit due to the amount of lot coverage of the portion of the property that could be developed, due to the majority of the lot being wet lands. The application was approved unanimously.
