National Peanut Butter Fudge Day Sparks National News at Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe with a visit from ABC News 7

Last month, in celebration of National Peanut Butter Fudge Day, ABC News 7’s John Muller looked locally for a candy shop that makes their fudge in-house for a featured story November 20th. Through his online search for local fudge shops he came across Susan and Stan Hordych, owners of Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe in Middletown, NJ. John, who lives in the local Monmouth County area, took a trip out to Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe, along with his camera crew, producer and daughter to film the segment which demonstrated how to make fudge. It aired during the morning news on Wednesday, November 20th, in celebration of National Peanut Butter Fudge Day. According to Susan Hordych, “We were very excited to have been selected to feature our fudge making on such a widely known national television news show. We celebrated our 15-year anniversary last month, and the show aired right after. It still feels amazing and surreal.” With the holidays and Christmas season in full swing, the timing was perfect. “Since the show aired we’ve been very busy fulfilling orders for not only our fudge, but homemade chocolates, hand-dipped goodies and gift baskets,” continues Susan.
In addition to homemade fudge, Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe creates hand-dipped strawberries and pretzels, which are among their customer’s favorites and they can deliver and ship packages and gift baskets just about anywhere. As certified gift designers, Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe also specializes in corporate gift baskets, custom party platters and party favors. They have been working with many area companies and organizations to provide corporate branded favors and gifts.
