New Supermarket Will Open In Keansburg

KEANSBURG, NJ — A new grocery store will open in the building that used to house Keansburg Pharmacy on Main Street.

It will be called Market Fresh Supermarket and it expects to open July 1, the Asbury Park Press reported.

Co-owner Kumar Patel told the newspaper it will be a full-service supermarket, with regular groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh-cut meats, cold cuts and prepared foods.

Keansburg hasn't had its own supermarket in about 50 years.
