Obituary: Barbara E. Oliver, 55, of Middletown

Barbara E. Oliver, 55, of Middletown, NJ, died on September 24, 2013 at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care in Long Branch after her courageous and brave battle with cancer.  Family and friends were at her bedside at the time of her passing.  

She was born in Red Bank, raised in Middletown, and lived in Long Branch for 22 years. Barbara worked as the Sales Operations Manager for York Telecom in Eatontown for about 15 years and was the first employee of the company. She was a very adventurous spirit, she loved traveling, camping, and kayaking.  Barb was also a very artistic person who loved life, was an inspiration to all and a friend to many. 

Surviving are her brother, Edward Oliver; her sister, Christine Oliver; and her four-legged son, Felix.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Ingeborg (Laas) Oliver.
