Obituary: JuneLouise "Candy" Sobczuk, 72, of Middletown

She was a member of the Middletown Elks Ladies Auxiliary, the East Keansburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and a great-grandmother who loved to knit and crochet.

JuneLouise "Candy" Sobczuk, 72, of Middletown, died on May 9, 2013, at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel. She was born in Jersey City, and lived in Middletown for over 40 years. Candy worked as a secretary for MetLife in Tinton Falls for many years. She was an avid reader, she loved to knit and crochet various things for her friends and family. Candy was a member of the Middletown Elks Ladies Auxiliary, and the East Keansburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her fiancé, William Melms; 3 daughters, Denise Morgan, Jeanne Brower and her wife Lauri Levy, Nancy Melhado and her husband Edward; son Jon Morgan and his wife Holly; sister Joanne Scarabino; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Candy was preceded in death by her husband Walter Sobczuk; sons, George and Eric Morgan.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 13, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday May 14, 2013 at 9:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
