Pegasus Production Company Presents "The Music Man"

Pegasus Production Company, the entirely student- run theatre company at
Christian Brothers Academy is presenting “The Music Man” as their spring
musical. These students have spent countless hours on this amazing show from designing
the set, to creating lighting designs, to directing the students in the cast.
These students are now very excited to share this show with the community.

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling
salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments
and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact
that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with
the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him
into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

There are 6 chances to experience this production including their first ever
sensory friendly show on March 10th, in partnership with “Our Special Place,” an
organization dedicated to aiding individuals with autism and their families.

Theater on CBA’s campus. Shows will take place on March 3rd, March 4th,
March 10th*, March 11th at 7pm. March 5th at
2pm and March 9th at 5pm.

*The Friday
March 10th show is "sensory-friendly" performance geared
towards individuals who are affected by sensory-input disorders, such as
autism. During a sensory-friendly show, our "house rules" will be
relaxed; audience members can get up, move around, and leave/re-enter the
theater. Also, there is no expectation that the audience will completely quiet,
and there will be an area for anyone who needs a break from the performance. In
addition, our technical elements will be softened, in order to accommodate
those with sensitive eyes and ears; the house lights will be dimly lit (to
allow for safe movement throughout the house), sound effects will be lowered,
and special effects will be at a minimum.*
