Photos From The 4-Car Accident On Rt. 36 In Middletown Thursday Night
The crash was caused by a driver going the wrong way on Rt. 36, said EMTs, although this has not been confirmed by Middletown Police.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A member of the Middletown EMS squad snapped these photos Thursday evening of a multi-car crash on Rt. 36 in Middletown.
The crash happened at 7:27 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Rt. 36 and East Road in Belford, and it is the reason Rt. 36 was closed for several hours Thursday night.
The crash was caused by a driver going the wrong way on Rt. 36, said EMTs, although this has not been confirmed by Middletown Police. A total of four cars were involved in the crash, and two people were injured, having to be transported by ambulance to Riverview Medical Center.

It is unknown if charges were issued.
Responding were Middletown Township First Aid & Rescue Squad, Port Monmouth First Aid Squad and Hackensack paramedics. Belford Engine Fire Co. and Middletown Township Police also were on scene.
