The Monmouth County Roughnecks Motorcycle Club tries to help out the community, Hazlet Police Det. Ryan McAndrews, a member of the club, tells Patch.
Last year, they raised enough money to donate a service dog to a veteran who was diagnosed with PTSD, with the assistance of K9s for Warriors. Every year, the MC Roughnecks also collects donations and supplies for the Popcorn Park Zoo in Forked River. You might have seen their members standing outside the Petco in Middletown and the Petsmart in Holmdel from April 1 through June, after which they ride to the zoo the supplies. They also collect gifts for children with special needs and present them to the children around Christmas time with the Middletown Elks Motorcycle Club.
