Police Step Up DWI Patrols in These Towns
"Beginning December 16 and continuing into the New Year, you will see stepped-up enforcement," said Holmdel's police chief.

As they do every year around the holidays, police in these following Bayshore towns will be stepping up increased drunk driving patrols: Aberdeen, Atlantic Highlands, Hazlet, Holmdel, Highlands, Keyport, Keansburg, Matawan, Middletown, and Union Beach, the towns announced Friday. Those are the 10 towns that make up the Bayshore Task Force. Nine of the departments were awarded grants from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety of $10,000 each to conduct the saturation patrols. Expect to see extra police cars on Highway 35 and 36, especially.
“Beginning December 16 and continuing into the New Year, you will see stepped-up enforcement watching closely for anyone who is driving impaired,” said Holmdel Police Chief John Mioduszewski. “We want to keep our roads safe for holiday travelers, so we will have zero tolerance for drunk driving.”
