RAGE Public Information Session: JCP&L Project

Join us- STOP the JCP&L Monster Power Lines -

· 150 to 220 ft. 230-kilovolt line that emits EMF (electromagnetic fields), which cause cell mutations, and significant health concerns for children and the elderly as cited in numerous NIH and WHO studies.

· The monopoles will be within 500 ft. of three elementary schools, a day care center, alongside parks & sports fields, in Poricy Park Nature Conservancy and in the 350-year-old Middletown Historic District.

· Environmental impact, diminished property values, reduced school funding are the unintended consequences along with unsightly power lines visible to all along the major roadways, and pristine Highlands overlooking Sandy Hook & NYC.

RAGE (Residents Against Giant Electric), a Monmouth County non-profit citizen-driven organization is opposed to the proposed JCP&L Monmouth Reliability Project. More than 27 years ago, RAGE fought and defeated a similar proposal to run high-voltage power lines along the NJ Transit tracks through Aberdeen/Matawan, Hazlet, Holmdel, Middletown and Red Bank.
