Relay For Life Middletown Will Be May 20 At High School South
The American Cancer Society will hold a Relay For Life on Saturday, May 20 at High School South. All are welcome to participate:
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The American Cancer Society will hold a Relay For Life of Middletown on Saturday, May 20 at High School South.
“We share a passion to save lives, celebrate lives and work to end cancer as we know it — for everyone,” said Marc Seigel, event volunteer and a teacher at High School South. “We’re excited for our 2023 Relay For Life event, and to share our passion for the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society, ensuring we are here for anyone who needs us.”
In 2023, more than 1.9 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed in the United States and more than 600,000 Americans will die from cancer.

Relay For Life of Middletown invites all cancer survivors and a caregiver to join them for their Survivor Reception from 2:30-4 p.m. at Middletown South. The opening ceremony will start at 4:30 p.m. on the football field, during which all cancer survivors, caregivers, teams, participants and sponsors will be recognized.
They will then walk the track for the next few hours, while also participating in fun games, theme laps and additional ceremonies. Their Luminaria Ceremony, where they remember those lost to cancer, will take place at 9:00 p.m.

They will also have a Cold Stone ice cream truck on site from 7-8:30 p.m.
"No matter how cancer has impacted your life and how you want to get involved, you have a team here, ready to welcome you,” said Jennifer Belke.
