The most recent case occurred last month in Colts Neck.

There were similar cases last year in Colts Neck and Freehold, authorities said.

The man flashes his headlights to get the drivers to pull over, then he approaches their cars and sprays them in the face with an irritant, according to Crime Stoppers.

He has been described as a black man, who is medium- to heavy-set and between the ages of 30- and 40-years-old.

In the most recent case, he was described as being at least 6 feet tall, with short hair. He wore jeans and a white polo shirt with blue stripes.

In that case, he was driving a vehicle that was possibly a silver or sandy colored four-door sedan.

In that June 23 attack, the woman pulled over near Five Points and Stone Hill roads just before midnight, after the man flashed his headlights at her, Colts Neck police have said.

He approached her vehicle, asked for directions, then sprayed her in the face.

The woman sped away and was not followed, police said.

All tipsters will remain anonymous.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the man.
