Ride At Keansburg Amusement Park Damaged In Fire
No one was injured and the fire damage was limited to the interior of the Gravitron ride, police said.

The Gravitron ride at the Keansburg Amusement Park sustained damage in a fire Monday afternoon, police said.
No one was on the ride at the time and no one was injured, police said.
The operator was testing the ride before the park opened for the day when he smelled an odor, said Police Chief James Pigott.

Workers called an electrician, who was working in another area of the park, and he told them to shut the ride down until he could inspect it, the chief said.
But before the electrician got there, a fire that began in the electrical compartment spread to the rest of the ride.
