Pedestrian Killed In Galloway Hit-And-Run: Prosecutor

Angeletta Sheppard, from Barnegat, was killed Thursday night on White Horse Pike near Seventh Avenue, officials said.

GALLOWAY, NJ — Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run in Galloway Thursday night that killed a woman from Barnegat.

Police responded to White Horse Pike (Route 30) westbound near Seventh Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. on Sept. 12 for a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.

Angeletta Sheppard, 33, was killed in the crash, authorities said. The suspected vehicle left the scene before police arrived, according to officials.
