Second Story Art Gallery Presents “The Fine Print Exhibition”, Opening Reception January 10

On January 4, the Second Story Art Gallery presents “The Fine Print Exhibition”, with an opening reception for this exhibition on Friday, January 10, 6-8pm at 78 First Avenue, Atlantic Highlands.

Printmaking has played a key role in the fine arts for centuries. Etchings, silkscreens, lithographs, monotypes and wood block prints by Marcia Branca, David French, Robert O'Connor and Caroline Northrop will be exhibited, in addition to some of the plates and tools used to make these works, helping the viewer connect the process with the print.

“What is a fine print?  It is a multiple-original work or art on paper which comes into direct contact with a stone, plate, wood block or silk screen that was worked upon by the artist.” – Jules Heller, Printmaking Today.
