Apparently, the resident od Shady Oaks and Shadow Lake Village finally heard about the concept plan to construct sports fields in Stevenson Park, on West Front Street. The Court Room was filled with residents that came to voice their objections to this project.

This was not the only business the Township Committee acted upon. An ordinance to amend the redevelopment plan for the new municipal complex was removed from the agenda and rescheduled to be heard after the election.

Another ordinance was adopted to utilize a recently purchased property on Rt. 36 in Port Monmouth as a township impound yard. This is where all of the vehicles towed from around the township will be stored until recovered by their owners. The ordinance also transferred the lease contract for the billboard on the property to the township.
