September Children’s And Teens’ Programs At Middletown Library

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Plan ahead for September at the Middletown Public Library with in-person programs and workshops for all ages.

How to Get into an Ivy League with Princeton Coaching Services – September 14 at 7:00 p.m.: For teens & parents. This session will provide a detailed behind-the-scenes perspective on the college admissions process and three key questions admissions committees at highly selective colleges will ask.

College Planning Workshop presented by College Funding Associates – September 21 at 7:00 p.m.: For teens & parents. Learn how to maximize potential for financial aid and lower out-of-pocket college expenses.

Teen Creative Writing, Mystery Edition – September 22 at 4:00 p.m.: Write a mystery story at the library’s new creative writing club for teens.

Cartooning Lessons with local artist and author Mike Dawson– September 26 at 11 a.m.: The cartoonist behind The Fifth Quarter series, Mike Dawson, will deliver a new version of “Cartooning Lessons” and talk about his newest graphic novel, "The Fifth Quarter: Hard Court."

“Move to the Music Bollywood Style” Diwali Celebration – September 26 at 6 p.m.: Explore Indian music and dance styles, and learn about the unique relationship Americans share with India through pop culture at this fun Diwali celebration for all ages!

Learn to Draw Manga/Anime Characters for Teens – September 28 at 7:00 p.m.: Learn how to draw fan favorite manga and anime characters with OneRiver Art School.
