MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The busy month of September is nearly upon us. Here are all the free programs, lectures and classes for kids and teens this September at the Middletown Township Public Library:

The New Digital SAT: What You Need to Know (virtual) – September 12 at 7 pm: Learn about significant changes to the SAT recently announced by The College Board at this virtual presentation. Register at mtpl.org

How To Get into An Ivy League with Princeton Coaching Services – September 13 at 7pm: Learn how to stand out among college applicants at highly selective colleges at this presentation for parents and teens.

Read to a Dog Program (grades K-5) – September 14 at 4 p.m. & September 18 at 6 p.m.: Stop by the library to improve literacy skills by reading aloud to a non-judgmental therapy dog! Registration is required at mtpl.org.

Turtle Tales with Monmouth County Park System (ages 3-5) – September 19 at 10 a.m. & 11 a.m.: Naturalists from MCPS will introduce children to several different kinds of live turtles as they learn about the reptiles and participate in turtle stories. Registration is required at mtpl.org.

Trade School Information Session with Brookdale Community College – September 19 at 7 p.m.: Students interested in pursuing careers in the trades are invited to join this info session to learn how to apply and what to expect from programs at Brookdale. Please register at mtpl.org.

Eyes of the Wild Animal Program– September 25 at 10 a.m. (for special-needs) & 11 a.m.: Meet and learn about a fascinating group of animals at this popular and entertaining family program. Registration is required at mtpl.org (please reserve 10am session for our friends with special needs and their families).

Career Spotlight: Law 101 for Teens – September 26 at 7 p.m.: Learn what it takes to achieve a career in the legal field with Murielle Stevens Walsh. Please register at mtpl.org.

Robotics and Coding with Snapology (teens & tweens) – September 28 at 7 p.m.: Work with other students to create robotic projects and program the models to move with code! Registration is required at mtpl.org.
