Sewage Poured Out Of Toilet, Bathtub In Monmouth County Home: Reports
A broken sewer line sent raw sewage flowing out of a toilet and bathtub in a New Jersey home this week, according to reports
ABERDEEN, NJ — A broken sewer line sent raw sewage flowing out of a toilet and bathtub this week, according to reports. The owner was working to get the foul odor away from her home on Thursday.
Owner Eloise Smart-Loadholt talked to NBC4 New York about how a "river of feces" poured non-stop into the basement, where she lives in the home. “I mean feces is pouring out of the toilet, pouring out of the tub like a river. I said, ‘Niagara Falls is coming here?’” Smart-Loadholt told the station.
Workers nearby told the station that a sewer main cracked because her basement is below the level of the pipe. The feces from multiple homes ran back downhill, flowing out of her toilet and bathtub.

The carpeting was ripped out, most of the furniture was outside, fans were blowing and windows were cracked wide open, according to NECN. The sewage flow was finally stopped, but it will take a couple of days to repair everything.
