Fatal Shooting In Middletown Private Home Monday Morning
At 10:13 a.m. Monday, Middletown Police were called for a report of a shooting in a home on Borden Road in the Oak Hill section.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A fatal shooting occurred in a private home in Middletown at about 10:15 Monday morning, said Middletown Police.
At 10:13 a.m. Monday, Middletown Twp. Police were called for a report of a shooting in a home on Borden Road in the Oak Hill section of the Township.
The person who was shot inside the home died, said a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

The identity, age, gender or condition of the person shot has not been made public by police. The county prosecutor has taken over the investigation and all further information will be released by them, said Middletown Police.
Detectives with the county prosecutor responded to the scene as well.

The Middletown Police said there is no threat to the public’s safety. The county prosecutor also said no further information on this incident will be released until Tuesday.
"The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a shooting that took place in a residence on Borden Road in Middletown. This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is active and ongoing at this time," tweeted the county prosecutor.
However, the county prosecutor is calling for anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
