Shoplifters at Middletown Sears on Rt. 35

Middletown, NJ - Two people shoplifted from the Middletown Sears on Rt. 35 Monday night, according to the Asbury Park Press, one of whom ran from police and was chased by Monmouth County Sheriff’s dogs.

The first suspect was apprehended quickly, according to police. The second, however, ran into a nearby creek and wooded area, but he was tracked and found by a dog from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, according to the report.

The alleged shoplifting happened at around 8 p.m. Monday.
