The meeting is on stabilization aid from the state. Districts can apply for stabilization aid, which is state funding, if the district experienced a reduction in state aid. Middletown has experienced continual declines in state aid over the past decade, and funding cuts from the state will likely continue. That's why you'll hear the term "stabilization aid" discussed a lot on the school board.
