State Police Graduation Friday in Lincroft

Of the 200 recruits who started out, 134 made the cut to become New Jersey's newest state troopers.

Lincroft, NJ - 134 of New Jersey’s newest state troopers were sworn in Friday morning in a ceremony at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.

This latest state police class started with 200 recruits and graduated 134 troopers.

“The 156th Class, with an overall make-up of more than 33 percent minorities, is diverse,” said acting New Jersey Attorney General John Hoffman. “Why does this matter? Because New Jersey is one of our nation’s most richly diverse states, it encourages public confidence when citizens can look at their State Police force and see themselves.”
