Stolen Car Suspect Hides Inside Sloan Kettering In Middletown
Old Bridge police chased a stolen car down the Parkway Wednesday. It crashed near the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the driver ran out.
OLD BRIDGE, NJ — A stolen car chase that began in Old Bridge Twp. resulted in police chasing the driver down the Garden State Parkway south into Middletown, where he ultimately crashed and ran into the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Wednesday morning, Dec. 18.
Old Bridge police said they tried to stop a silver Honda Civic, with New York plates, for a motor vehicle violation on Rt. 35 south and Laurence Parkway just before 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The car refused to stop, resulting in a pursuit, said police.

The Civic entered the Garden State Parkway southbound and at one point entered the Parkway south express lanes. In the area of mile post 114, the car slowed, striking the guardrail.
At that point, both the driver and passenger got out and ran. The driver was quickly apprehended.

After a search of the area with assistance from State Police and Wall Township Police, the passenger was apprehended inside the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, said Old Bridge police.
It was determined that the Civic had been reported stolen from Staten Island. Both subjects are juveniles and being charged with receiving stolen property and multiple drug offenses, along with the driver being charged with multiple motor vehicle violations, said Old Bridge police.
