Street Fight, Stabbing in Keansburg Friday Afternoon

KEANSBURG, NJ - Keansburg police had to break up a large street fight between teenagers that broke out late afternoon Friday in the borough, and resulted in one local teen being stabbed in the back.

Police were called to the corner of Highland and Center Aves. at 4:26 p.m. Friday for a call of a large fight with a stabbing. A 17-year-old male juvenile from Keansburg had been stabbed in the back during the fight and four suspects fled the scene in a motor vehicle. The victim was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital by the Keansburg Fire Department EMS.

A description of the suspects was broadcast, and four teens were stopped by Holmdel police on South Laurel Ave. and Takolusa Drive. Devon Lewis, 18, of Neptune, Dymar Holland, 18, of Neptune and two brothers, a 15-year-old and 17-year-old, also of Neptune, were all arrested. A weapon was found with them, police said. The victim used to live in Neptune and apparently there has been a feud going on between him and the accused, police said.

All four were charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and other crimes.
