Teen Robbed At Knifepoint In Middletown Tuesday, Police Say
The teen waved down a police officer in the area of Ocean Avenue and Port Monmouth Road just before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, New Year's Eve.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A 19-year-old Aberdeen young man and a teenager from Middletown were arrested Tuesday and charged with robbing and assaulting another Middletown teen, 17, said police.
The teen waved down a police officer in the area of Ocean Avenue and Port Monmouth Road just before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, New Year's Eve, and said he had just been robbed and assaulted by a person armed with a knife.
The victim was not stabbed but was injured during the incident, said police. He said his money and earphones were stolen.

Ayonna Williams, 19, of Aberdeen and a 16 year-old juvenile male of Middletown were arrested by Middletown police. Williams was charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, conspiracy and employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime. The juvenile was charged with robbery, conspiracy, and hindering the apprehension of another.
Police were able to recover the victim’s stolen property.
